Frequently asked questions
The questions school leaders, IT teams, and parents ask us most.
About the platform
-
What is EdunationOS?
EdunationOS is an operating system for schools: 18 connected applications running on one shared data model, identity, and security boundary. Instead of stitching together separate tools, your school runs everything — records, learning, finance, wellbeing, admissions — as one system.
-
Is Edunation a single product or many?
Both. There are 18 applications (plus 3 architectural extensions), but they aren't separate products glued together — they're all built on the same platform and share one student record. You can start with a few apps and add more without re-implementing anything.
-
Which apps are included?
Academic & Learning (SIS, LMS, QIZ, VIRTU, TRACKER, ACTUS), Operations & Business (TARGET, CRM, BURSAR, PAY), Safety & Wellbeing (AWARE, PIK, DOKTOR), and Across the Suite (FORMS, INSIGHTS). Extensions: Connect (SSO), Enterprise (ERP), and EdunationAI.
Who it's for
-
Who uses Edunation?
Schools and higher-education institutions — from single-campus nurseries to multi-campus international groups. Within a school, it serves principals, registrars, teachers, finance teams, counsellors, parents, and students.
-
Does it support multiple campuses?
Yes. EdunationOS is multi-campus by default; a single campus is just a configuration of the same model. You can add campuses without re-platforming.
-
Does it handle different curricula?
Yes. Cambridge, IB, American, and national/MOE systems are configurable per programme — even within one school (e.g. national-curriculum primary and IB secondary in one tenant).
Languages & localization
-
Is the platform available in Arabic?
Yes — Arabic and English are first-class, with full right-to-left support. Student-facing surfaces support 22 additional languages. Language, calendar, name format, and number format are properties of the user, so report cards and transcripts honour the language each parent reads.
Security & data
-
How is our data protected?
AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, and SSO. Hosting is enterprise-grade with a 99.9% uptime SLA, automated backups, and disaster recovery. See the Security page.
-
Are you compliant with regulations?
We align with GDPR and FERPA and hold (or are pursuing) ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II. We can provide data-processing agreements and SOC 2 reports under NDA.
-
Who owns the data?
Your institution. Student data is processed under the agreement signed with your school, and we do not sell personal data.
Integrations
-
Can Edunation connect to systems we already use?
Yes — via pre-built connectors, RESTful APIs, real-time bi-directional sync, and webhooks. Connect handles single sign-on with Google, Microsoft, or your own IdP; Enterprise bridges to your ERP/HR systems. See API & integrations.
-
Do we have to replace our accounting/ERP system?
No. Enterprise lets EdunationOS run alongside the ERP you already trust, syncing records both ways without double-entry.
Getting started
-
How do we get started?
Request a working session from the Contact page. We'll spend an hour understanding what you run today and which parts of the platform map to your operation — and if it isn't a fit, we'll tell you.
-
How long does implementation take?
It depends on scope and how many apps you deploy, but every rollout includes a dedicated project manager, data-migration assistance, configuration, and integration setup. We'll give you a realistic timeline during the working session.
-
Do you offer training?
Yes — on-demand online training plus tailored private sessions for your staff, on-site or virtual.
